All about blogs!

I choose blogs done for the “Frederick News Post” the blog is done by Sarah Fortney and talks about cheap gas schemes. A woman in West Virginia was selling gas to other people for cheap. I choose this blog because I thought it was interesting, and it is from my hometown newspaper. I think that this is a good example of a blog because people have the opportunity to read more in depth about the gas schemes. I think this blog differs from other news writing because people have the opportunity to post their own comments about the blog. There is someone who is receiving feedback and that is the editor.

Personally I do not blog daily and didn’t start to write a blog until I started this class. The term actually didn’t mean much to me at all because I had no idea what it was. I didn’t use blogs because I was unsure of how to. Now I know a little more. I think that blogging is a good idea; I like to read the local newspaper blogs now. I think that this keeps me informed about what is going on in my hometown. I think that journalist and public relations could use blogging by allowing people to make suggestions about public relation campaigns. Journalist could get a lot more feedback than just having friends and editors read over their stuff before it is published. Overall I think blogs are a good source of information that will receive feedback.
